Sigismund’s celebration

The first weekend of May is traditionally dedicated to the celebration of the important Hungarian sovereign Sigismund of Luxembourg who lived at the Vígľaš Castle. This special weekend is inspired by the history and traditions of his reign. Presentation of fencing, historical fashion show, period tent camps, shoots from cannon and much more can be seen and experienced in the historical premises of the castle.

Grand Retro Show

Luxury cars, genuine gentlemen and gorgeous ladies can be encountered in the castle during the second weekend of August. We call this event the Grand Retro Show. The exhibition of vehicles produced before the 1950s guarantees an authentic experience and a collection of memories and photographs. A rich cultural program with a touch of old times is waiting for you. Come and join us.

Grand opening

Each September, a great birthday celebration is held at the castle to commemorate the reopening of the castle. After several decades of chaos, the castle again received a good reputation and reached significant level of luxury and this should be celebrated. The special occasion is complemented by a spectacular program with lots of familiar faces and with birthday cake, of course.
